| How early do I have to book? |
Most courses fill up quickly and it is advisable to book as early as possible. Do enquire about late availability, as there may be some places left nearer the commencing date. |
| Can I bring a non-painting partner? |
Yes, non-painting partners are welcome. They get a discount and are entitled to participate in all activities, like field trips, wine tasting and meals that take place besides the painting. |
| Do I need to have any painting experience? |
The courses are suitable both for beginners and for accomplished painters - and all levels in between! |
| Do I need to bring my own equipment? |
All materials and brushes are provided. Of course you are welcome to bring your favourite brushes with you |
| How many students are typically on a course? |
Typically, there are between 4 and 8 students on each course. |
| Is the course price fully inclusive? |
You will only have to provide your lunch. There will be occasion for an interesting grocery shopping experience or opportunities to eat out. The Tuscany Monotype and Watercolour workshop does include lunch, with self catering for breakfast and dinner. All field trips and ground transportation are included in the course price. |
| I have difficulty in walking long distances. Will this be a problem? |
No, everything is organized around the participants' needs, and trips to painting locations necessitate very little walking, so you won't have to suffer for your art! |
| Do I need to rent a car? |
All ground transportation is provided and you can take independent afternoon trips with public transportation, however if you prefer maximum freedom and independence you might consider renting a car. |
| How do I get to the location of the workshop? |
For each workshop at arrival and departure there is a pick up service from a close by train or bus stop. Who arrives by car will receive detailed instructions. |
| Can I book sessions at dates that are not published in the programme? |
Yes, Watercolour and Monotype print workshops can be arranged for small groups or individuals at agreed dates, even outside of the published Painting Programme 2011. |
